Payments: Payments may be made in the form of Visa, MasterCard or Cash. We do not accept Discover, American Express or Personal Checks.

Cancelled or Changed Reservation Charges and Fees: Cancellations or changes to an existing reservation, must be made within one week of the reserved rental date. If the reservation is not cancelled within one week of the rental date, we reserve the right to charge a minimum of $250.00 plus tax. Due to the unique nature of houseboat rental operations, these procedures will not be waived under any circumstances.

Damage Deposit Refund: A damage deposit in the amount of $800.00 is required at the time of check-in. The deposit will be fully refunded within fourteen (14) days after the end of the rental period provided there is no damage to the houseboat, no items missing, and all policies and conditions were followed during the rental period. The cost to repair or to replace lost or stolen items will be deducted from the deposit, with the remainder returned to the customer. Any damages or losses in excess of the deposit will be billed to the customer, with payment required within 30 days.

Piloting of Houseboat: Guests will not be allowed to pilot the boat, and the boat is to remain moored at its current location at all times. Unfortunately, our insurance policy will not cover the boat if it is removed from the moored area.

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum occupancy of guests who may sleep on the boat is 8. The maximum occupancy of visitors who are allowed on the vessel during the day is a total of 25. (This number includes the 8 that may sleep on the boat). If the maximum occupancy is exceeded, you may be asked to vacate the property and forfeit the deposit and all rental fees. All visitors must exit the houseboat and leave the marina property by 10:00 P.M.

Age Requirements: No rental will be made to vacationing students or singles under the age of twenty five (25) unless accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Any reservation made under false pretenses will be subject to forfeiture of deposit and/or rental fees. Violaters may be asked to vacate the property.

Tobacco and Smoking Policy: No tobacco in any form may be used within any part of the interior cabin areas, including smokeless tobacco. Tobacco may be used in exterior areas only and all tobacco waste products and residues must be disposed of in exterior trash containers. Smoking is not allowed inside the houseboat at any time. Renters are responsible for monitoring the tobacco use of all guests and ensuring compliance with this policy during the rental period. Violaters of this rule may be asked to leave the houseboat and forfeit all of the damage deposit and rental fees.

Pets: Pets are not permitted at any time on board the houseboat. Guests found with a pet will be evicted and automatically forfeit all of their damage deposit and rent fees. The only exception allowed to this rule is for service animals; with a request in writing at the time of the reservation.

Marina Quiet House and Guest Complaints: Pleasant Harbor Marina has a noise ordinance and quiet hours begin at 10:00 P.M. Quiet hour violations or guest activities that result in formal complaints or require a police response may result in guests being evicted from the houseboat and the forfeiture of all damage deposit and rental fees.

Key Loss: Guests will be provided with one key for locking the houseboat and one key to enter the private area of the marina were the houseboat is docked. The fee to replace either a lost marina key or a lost houseboat key is $50.00 per key. The Renter is responsible for maintaining the security of the houseboat and its equipment throughout the rental period.

Inclement Weather Policies: Cancellation or early departure by the renter due to inclement weather does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. In the event that Lake Pleasant Watercraft Rentals determines that conditions are unsafe for occupancy for any reason, the renter will receive a full or pro-rated refund of their rental fees based on the number of days actually occupies. Any partial or half days shall be considered a full day rental for refund purposes.
